Overview

We will leave the main touristy sights behind and drive away to Istanbul's less known neighborhoods and sights. The tour will partly be sightseeing and partly food sampling in different parts of Istanbul. We will start with Ortaköy neighborhood suited on the side of the Bosporus where you can put Asia and Europe in one picture.We will go little further to see Rumeli Fortresses which was part of the defense of conquering the Constantinople in 1453.
After this we will drive through the Istanbul Bosporus bridge from European side to Asian side.We will visit Beylerbeyi palace and see how the Sultans were living.We will visit the Çamlıca which the highest hill of Istanbul and a new mosque built in 2019 which is one of the biggest one in world.We will conclude the tour at the Kadıköy food market with sampling the variety of the different food which comes from different parts of Turkey. Your guide will order the food for you and make it easier to make a selection of the well chosen food you.

Lunch will starter with four different kinds of meze ( dips ), 2-3 different kinds of home cooked meals and 2-3 kinds of kebaps. If you are vegetarians there will be many vegetarian options.

Midye Dolma; mussels stuffed with rice and spices in their shell

Olive tasting; sampling 4 different kinds of the olives which come from different parts of Turkey

Tantuni; diced beef or chicken ( optional ) roasted in a large pan wrap with vegetables with yoghurt

Tulum ; a goat cheese fermented in a goat skin for two years from eastern Turkey

Turşu ; variety of the pickled vegetables serve in a glass with a delicious juice

Ortakoy

We will start with a visit to Ortaköy neighborhood by the Bosporus and sample the böreks ( filo pastries ). Picture taking of the Bosporus bridge and Ortaköy mosque.

We will visit this fortresses which was built by Ottoman in 1452 to stop the help ships might come from the Black sea side.
