What To Expect

Hagia Sophia Mosque
Our tour will start at Hagia Sophia, with its extraordinary and mystical details. Hagia Sophia has an important role in the development of Eastern Christianity. It has stood for 1500 years. It has been the most important religious center in Istanbul for both Christianity and Islam since the 6th century. The atmosphere of Hagia Sophia fascinates with its majestic and ingenious architecture.

Topkapi Palace
During our visit we will discover the Topkapi Palace, which housed the Ottoman dynasty for 4 centuries and was the administrative center of the Empire. Topkapi Palace houses a magnificent view of the surrounding city. We will see outstanding and original examples of Turkish pottery, various unique palace collections and learn about Ottoman Palace protocol.

Basilica Cistern
After the palace, we will visit the Basilica Cistern, which has a water capacity of 80 million cubic meters. This ancient cistern was built by the Byzantine Emperor Justinian in AD 532. C. to supply water to his great palace on the site of the current Blue Mosque. Thanks to modern artistic lighting techniques inside the building, we will have the opportunity to take amazing atmospheric photos and mystically experience history.

Hippodrome
In addition to the Basilica Cistern, we will see and discuss the 4th-century Hippodrome, a structure that witnessed important political, social, and cultural events throughout Istanbul's history and became the heart of the city. We will examine the monumental obelisk structures that have survived to this day. We will visit the historic Byzantine cistern, where we will enter an exhibition of photographs, illustrations and a model of what the Hippodrome was originally like.

Suleymaniye Mosque
After a short break for lunch, we will visit the Süleymaniye Mosque, one of the most important examples of Classical Ottoman Architecture.
